Classes will maintain socially distanced seating and a maximum of five people.
All machines, desks, chairs etc., will be cleaned before each class. Everyone will be required to bring their own work box with scissors, pins, thread etc., or will need to buy these items in the shop. A list of required items will be sent out.
All our classes cater for mixed ability groups but we do have some classes aimed specifically at beginners.
Our Sewing courses offer flexible learning suitable for beginner to intermediate students. Classes are small giving you plenty of support with your chosen project which could be dressmaking, a bag or home furnishing. You will be expected to provide your own materials after week one. Maximum five people
Over the six week period, you will expect to learn a range of techniques including:-
- Seam finishes
- Working with Commercial patterns
- Taking accurate measurements
- Button holes
- Patch pockets
- Inserting a zip
